Andrew H. Purvis, III., A native of Mobile, Alabama passed away surrounded by family on March 23, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Harold Purvis, Jr., and Maggie Jo Goodwin Purvis. Andy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Miller Purvis; his daughter, Allison P. Tyler; sons, Anthony (Tony) W. Purvis and Kevin A. Purvis; his grandchildren, Colby, Nicholas, Jordan, Larkyn and Jaxson; and his great grandchildren, Brylee, Archer, Aubrey, Blake, and Carter. Andy is also survived by his sisters, Mary Elizabeth (Jerry) Howell of Rainbow City, Alabama, and Barbara Ann (Joe) Griffin of Mobile, Alabama; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Andy was a graduate of McGill Institute Class of 1960. He was employed at Scott Paper for 35 years. Due to Covid, services will be held at a later date.
