Ashley Lynelle Wright

Ashley Lynelle Wright, a 49 year old resident of Irvington, Alabama, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021. Ashley had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off her back in a heartbeat and never expect anything in return. She always had a way of making others feel special and was always there for anyone who just needed to talk. She never met a stranger and always made people feel important about themselves. Ashley was the most accepting, selfless, caring person and loved everyone from the second she met them. She had a contagious laugh with a warming smile that reached from ear to ear. She loved her family and those grand babies with all her heart. 

Ashely is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mercedes Steiner Laforce, Harold Henry Laforce, Mary Lou Collier and Drury O. Wright; and her mother, Mercedes Laforce Wright.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jimmy Ray Lowry; her children, Gordon Drew Wright (Mikaela) and Mercedes Lynae Wright; her grandchildren, Layla Grace Wright and Presley Adan Brannon; her father, Drury Gordon Wright (Patricia); her sisters, Lisa Wright Parnell (Andy), Madelyne Renee Wright, and Chelsie Lynn Wright (Wayne); step-brothers, Zach and Jacob Kervin; her nieces, Courtlynne Parnell, Caitlynne Parnell, Merci Ladnier, and Madeline Ladnier; aunts; uncles; and many, many, many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at New Beginning Baptist Church (formerly known as Higher Ground Baptist Church), with funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery. Pastor Terry Taylor will be Officiating the service and Mindy Wright McClantoc will be the Funeral Director.

Pallbearers will be Parish McBride, Jay Mason, Tyler Smith, Kendall Stokes, Douglas Barber and Nick Holmes.
