Carl Flynt, Jr. Obituary

Carl Sherrod Flynt, Jr., known by those closest to him as “Buster.” He was a resident of Semmes, Alabama. He passed away in his home on January 26, 2023, at the age of 66.

A memorial service / celebration of life will be announced in the future.

Buster enjoyed loving life and living it to its fullest with the many adventures his life had to offer. His family and fur babies were always first and foremost the most complete part of his life. Boomer, Holly, and Taz were his closest companions. Music, good food, and togetherness with those he loved dearly filled his heart and soul. Buster was family oriented, and always being there for them was his joy. He admired a well-built motorcycle, truck, or car. He took great pleasure sharing his knowledge and life experiences with many, most of all his sisters, children, and his wife. Buster was happy with spending time talking on the phone for many hours with those he loved the most in his life. His laughter was contagious! It gave him great pleasure spoiling his loving wife and making his daughters laugh at his jokes or memories and giving their husbands a hard time. He was their “Pops/Daddy”, and he loved them dearly. His grandchildren and great grandchildren made him proud and gave him the most out of his life. Buster was a “Jack of all
trades” and mastered them all. The world is most definitely void without his presence and laughter. Everyone in his family and his closet friends will miss him dearly.

Buster is preceded in death by his mother, Willie Faye Sullivan Flynt; and father, Carl Sherrod Flynt, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife and best friend, Michelle Clements-Flynt; son, Joshua Flynt; daughter, who he called “Baby Girl,” Anna Atkins; two bonus daughters, April Rodgers, and Jonell Stephens; along with his daughters spouses, Zachary Atkins, Joseph Rodgers, and Daniel Stephens; grandchildren, Jalen Colley, Gabrielle May, Cameron Colley, Leland Sams, Cincere Flynt, Rylan Sams, Victoria Rodgers, Mariah Stephens, Joseph Rodgers, Lydia Stephens, Ian Stephens, Jackson Rodgers, Jeremiah Rodgers, Hope Colley, and Julia Colle; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Lawrence, Khalani Lawrence, Auziya Arroyo, and Royal Scott; sisters, Sue Grant, Roselyn Flynt, Jennifer Woodson-Rogers, and their children and childrens children; and numerous cousins.
