Charles Joseph Krause, Sr. Obituary

Charles “Chick” Joseph Krause Sr., 74, went home to Jesus on Thursday, July 17, 2025. He passed peacefully in his home with his family around him. Chick was a native of Mobile, AL and a longtime resident of Grand Bay.


Chick retired from South Africa Paper Products (previously Scott Paper) after 27 years and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.


Chick enjoyed cookouts with his family, hunting, and fishing.


Chick is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gloria: three sons, Jody (Stacy), Chris (Amy), and Richie; three grandchildren, Patrick, Hunter, and Kamryn Krause; three sisters, Karen Hughey (Joe), Cindy Woodall, Dodie Knapp (Gary); brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, and nephews; family and friends.


A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Grand Bay on Saturday, August 2nd at 11:00 a.m.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Mobile.
