Charles Bruce Weatherholt

Charles Bruce Weatherholt, 70, of Grand Bay, Alabama passed away on October 5, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Milton, West Viginia on June 11, 1951, to the late Oscar Weatherholt and late Kathryn Ramsey Weatherholt. He spent his teen years in Petaluma, California, his adult years in Hebron, Maryland and his final years in Grand Bay, AL with his daughter and her family. 

Bruce was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather.  He was a devoted friend with many friendships that spanned over 50 years.  He was the life of the party in his younger years. He would do anything for a friend or even a stranger if you needed him. He worked as a HVAC technician for many years, even owning his own business for a while. He was a carpenter and craftsman all his life even building his own home.  In retirement he helped build and repair furniture for his daughter’s business.

Those left to cherish Bruce’s memory include his daughter, Mary (Jimmy) Sorenson of Grand Bay, Alabama; their children, Lexy and Spencer Sorenson;  stepson, Robert K. Jester, and his daughter, Elizabeth Jester; stepson, James E. Jester, and his son, James Jester; stepdaughter, Kate (Andy Bany) Pennewell of Snow Hill, Maryland, and her son, Noah Bany;  nephew, Chris (Melissa) Walker of Marion, Virginia; niece, Kelly Dawn (Troy) Sowards;  stepfather, Jack Connor; his first wife, Rebecca Patterson; his second wife, Melissa Martinek; his longtime companion and friend, Brigitte Pennewell; as well as his lifetime friend of 50 years, Bruce (Sabine) Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his son, Eric John Weatherholt, and his sister, Cheryl Sue Weatherholt.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
