Christopher Keith Ziegler

Chris passed from this life to the next on Tuesday, October 18, 2025, at 7 pm with his wife and sister by his side.   Chris is preceded in death by his Father, Ronald Ziegler; his Mother, Carolyn Ziegler; and his brother, Charles “Chuck” Ziegler.  He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Ziegler; sister, Tracy (Paul) Nicholson; brother, David (Gwin) Ziegler; niece and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; cousins; and friends.  Chris was an avid reader of comics, science fiction, fantasy, and political and historical fiction.  He read close to 75 books a year.  He had a fantastic sense of humor.  Chris had a caring heart and wanted to take care of the people close to him.  He assisted his wife in mentoring several young ladies and babysitting their kids through the Hope Center for Teens. Later, with his wife, he assisted in mentoring a young lady from their church, Chelsea McAlpin. Their relationship was more of a father-daughter relationship.   Throughout his life, Chris fought mental health issues; his fighting spirit was amplified in his fight against his cancer, which was a rare and aggressive cancer. Even as the doctors said there was not much else they could do, he wanted to fight on, which he did till his very last breath.  He will be missed and always remembered with love.
