Clarence Malcolm "Capt. Mack" Sprinkle III, 74, of Bayou La Batre, Alabama, passed away into God's Kingdom on August 26, 2022. He was born on February 13, 1948, in Bayou La Batre, Alabama.
Mack was a son of a son of a sailor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and a friend to anyone he met. He will be greatly missed by many. Mack had six children, twenty grandchildren, forty seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. He loved spending time with family!
Mack was preceded in death by his grandparents that he loved so much, Clarence and Mattie Sprinkle Sr., Benny and Lydia Stork; father, “Sonny” Clarence Sprinkle Jr.; stepfather, Jesse Harris; sisters, Mattie Bosarge, Myra Cain, and Donna Sasser; brothers, Bill Sprinkle, Sonny Sprinkle, and Michael Harris; and many other relatives and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years, Gwendolyn Ann Sprinkle; mother, Ida Mae Harris; only son, “Mack” Clarence Sprinkle IV; daughters, Bridget Sprinkle, Ida Meekin (Gregory), Ann Sprinkle, Tabatha Alexander (Shane), and Gayla Seaman (John); and all 69 grandchildren, which is a true blessing. brothers, Stevie Sprinkle (Mary Lee), Gregory Sprinkle (Annie), and David Sprinkle; sisters, Cindy Sprinkle, Vida Odom (Richard), Kathy Sprinkle, Lily Ryan (Maurice), and Karen Lynn (Bert); (He raised four of his grandchildren as his own children).
Mack was one of the hardest working men that took care of his wife and many children.
Visitation for immediate family will be from 4pm to 5pm, and visitation for friends will be from 5pm to 7pm Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at San Souci Baptist Church, 9299 Cain St Bayou La Batre, Alabama, 36509. Funeral service will begin Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Oddfellow's Cemetery.
