Clint Daniel Smith, was a proud protector of those he loved. To his nephews and many others, he was a guiding presence—offering advice, humor, and unwavering support. He had a gift for making people feel at ease and could make anyone smile with his quick wit and unforgettable stories.
A skilled mechanic and self-proclaimed “know-it-all,” Clint was the one people turned to when something needed fixing. More often than not, he had the answer. He took pride in helping others and sharing what he knew.
Clint loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and Big Creek Lake was a special place to him. In his final months, he stood firmly in support of protecting the rights of local fishermen, showing his deep love for his community and the place he cherished most.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Linda Smith, and his older sister, Becky Strickland.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Green Smith; his sisters, Alivia Smith (Todd Weigand), Casey Harris (Nic), and Courtney Binek (Lawrence); his brother-in-law, Bryan Strickland; along with many nephews, nieces, great nephews, one great-niece, and a large extended family.
Clint will be remembered for his big heart, his loyalty, his cheeky sense of humor, and the joy he brought to family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support efforts to preserve local fishing rights at Big Creek Lake at this link Take Back Big Creek Lake.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
