Dale Irvin Gaulden, a resident of Theodore, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022. He was born November 9, 1950, in Houston, Texas, to the late Perry and Ruby Jean Gaulden.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents; his late wife, Arlene Fisk; and his sister, Brenda Rejcek.
Dale lived in many places before moving to Alabama where he met his wife of 19 years, Grace Gaulden. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Grace Gaulden; siblings, Perry Gaulden Jr., and Darla (David) Krolczyk; children, Christopher Gaulden, Corey (Donna) Gaulden, Derrick Gaulden, Dewey (Regina) Lloyd, Julie (Shawn) Felps, Renea (Tim) Williams, and Michael (Susan) Imel; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Dale served in the United States Marine Corps before working in the oil fields. He retired from Evonik, formally known as Degussa, as an NDT Level 3 Specialist after 25 years. Dale enjoyed mining precious stones and making jewelry from his finds, fishing with his family, gardening with Grace, and playing jokes on his grandchildren. He loved to travel all over the United States. He was passionate about history, and he especially enjoyed historical films and documentaries. He was an avid Texas Longhorn football fan. Dale loved his dogs EwokLM, Gizmo, and Pepé Le Pew.
Graveside services will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at at the Alabama State Veteran's Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort. Expressions of sympathy in Dale's memory may be made in whichever way(s) you wish.
