Dana Allen Obituary

Dana Duke Allen, 69, passed away on February 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Dana was a devoted wife, mother, Nonnie, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was marked by faith, service, and deep love for those around her. Dana was married to her loving husband, Gaines Allen, with whom she shared 48 cherished years. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and steadfast devotion.  She was the proud mother of two children: Mindy Stejskal and Gabe Allen. Dana also welcomed her children’s spouses as her own, loving her son-in-law, David Stejskal, and her daughter-in-law, Cassie Allen. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren: Walker Stejskal (18), Lucy Stejskal (15), Jude Allen (4), and Luke Allen (2). Dana treasured every moment spent with them, especially weekend stays filled with game nights, movie nights, laughter, and memories that will forever remain in their hearts.

Dana was born to Robert and Anette Duke on June 11,1956 both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her sisters, Janice Green (Richard) and Lynnelle Kahalley (Jim), who shared with her a lifelong bond of family and love.  She was also loved by her brother-in-law Donald Allen (Carol) and sister-in-law Mary Edna Allen. She was also a proud “Aunt P” to many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.   Dana grew up in Saraland, AL where she attended Satsuma High School. She later attended the University of Montevallo. She dedicated many years of service through her work at Copeland Oil and Gas and later retired from the University of Mobile in 2023.  During this time, many coworkers became lifelong friends with her. Above all else, Dana was devoted to the Lord. Her early years were spent as a member of Chickasaw Baptist Church which later became First Baptist North Mobile.  Her last years were spent as a faithful member of Jubilee Baptist Church.  She lived her faith through humility, kindness, and service to her family and others. She was a servant-hearted woman who loved deeply and gave generously of herself.

Dana Allen will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith, her love of family and friends, and the joy she found in life’s simple moments. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through the lives of all who were blessed to know her.
