Daniel Sherard (Sr.) Morton

Daniel Sherard Morton, Sr. a native and life long resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024. 

Mr Morton was a Class of 1957 graduate of McGill Institute. After graduating, he attented Spring Hill College. He retired from the ABC Board after 33 years of servcie. He was a devoted Auburn Football fan, a Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts of America, a 4th degree Knights of Columbus, and a charter member of St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. 

He was preceded in death by his, son, Daniel Sherard Morton, Jr., parents, Sherard and Hilda Morton, and siblings, Frank Morton and Regina Morton. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, children, Leticia (Ron) Dearmon, Philip "Andy" (Carlene) Morton, 5 grand children, 5 great grandchildren, brother, Fred Morton, neices, nephews, other relatvies and many friends. 

A mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11 am with visitation from 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Wolf Ridge Cemetery. 

In leiu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in his name to Boy Scouts of America.
