David Eugene Paxton, Jr., age 64, a longtime resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. 

David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and relaxing with a warm beer while spending time with a close few. He was a good man who worked hard to give his family a good life.

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Adams Paxton, 4 daughters, Ryan, Alicia, Melissa (Jared) and Kaitlyne. He was also the best "G-Daddy" to his 12 grandchildren who loved and adored him dearly, brotthers, Dwayne Paxton, Donnie Walker, nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 1 pm from the chapel of Mobile Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time. 

David will be remembered for his wisdom, strength, and the love he had for his family. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and is now at peace.
