Emily Joy McCrocklin, 44, passed away on July 21, 2021, at Mobile Infirmary, after a courageous two-year battle with stage 4 colon cancer which she was a determined to fight to the end.
Emily was a caring positive person who brought joy to others. She enjoyed sunshine, her pool and relaxing on front porch but could not notice a swing without indulging. Emily enjoyed art, architecture, music, travel, gardening, and good food especially Asian. Her life was devoted to creating beautiful Carnival floats with her extended family of Royal Artists, Crews, and 'barn rats'.
Emily is preceded in death by her grandparents, Marie Ascani McCrocklin, Warren McCrocklin, Sr, Odette Hymel Wagner, and Joseph Wagner.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Earleen Barrilleaux; father, Warren McCrocklin; stepfather, Roland Barrilleaux; her partner, Joey Rafael; and numerous aunts, cousins, and friends.
Emily’s cousins, Mack and Julia Hagood, were the brother and sister that Emily never had, while her friendly fluffy Chihuahua, Cheech, was her only child.
