Emma Barber Obituary

Emma Mae Barber  was a resident of Irvington, Alabama. She was born on October 19,1943. She departed this world suddenly November 11, 2022, at her home.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 40 years, Robert (Bobby) Barber; and grandson, Tyler Tillman. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her 4 loving daughters, Karen Sprinkle (JJ), Pam Ryan (LaRoi), Tammy Dunnam (Jim),  and Vonnie Gaut (Ricky); 7 grand children, JJ Sprinkle, Jr., Davin Sprinkle, Hadden Sprinkle, Roi Ryan, Matt Ryan ,Cameron Dunnam and Victoria Aldridge; 11 great grandchildren; sisters; brother; nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends. 

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Emma. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Emma was the kindest person you would ever meet. She touched the lives of many in a special way that will never be forgotten. Emma enjoyed sewing, painting, needlepoint, gardening, and most of all her love for cooking. She was the best cook ever. She never let anyone leave without eating. Her beautiful life will forever shine in the lives of her four daughters. Emma will truly be missed by everyone.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service being held on Thursday, 11:00am, at Oddfellows Cemetery, 12450 Irvington Bayou La Batre Hwy, Bayou La Batre, Al 36509.
