In Loving Memory: Leon Stallings Saraland, Alabama 

Leon Stallings went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 29, 2023. He was born on February 18, 1940, in Sumter County, AL and resided in Saraland, AL for 60 years. Leon was a cherished husband, a proud father of three daughters, a loving grandfather and great-grandfather, a faithful friend, and a source of strength for his family, church, and community. He was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church, in Saraland. He worked for the railroad for 48 years until he retired. Leon demonstrated boundless generosity, a strong work ethic, an unwavering faith in Jesus and a burden to share the gospel. These principles serve as an example for his family. His legacy will be carried on by his wife of 62 years, Alice Stallings, his daughters, Deana Vester (Donny), Ronda Stacey (Ken), and Lisa Turner (Buddy), his grandchildren: Katie Roberts (Joshua), Heath Vester (Hannah), Hope Surrett (Jacob), Kendall Stacey, Karalyne Stacey, Claire Drake (Daniel), Chloe Turner; and his great-grandchildren: Emma and Addison Roberts, and Asher and Otto Vester. He prayed for each of them daily, pointing them to Jesus. Leon spent countless hours outdoors gardening, hunting, fishing, and appreciating Gods' creation. He had a gift for growing things and the willingness to work hard to produce and share in his harvest. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be on Friday July 7, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Shiloh Baptist Church followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial and Interment services will be on Saturday July 8, 2023 at Siloam Baptist Church at 11 am with interment in Siloam Cemetery 34 Siloam Church Road Cuba, AL 36907.
