Gerald Austin Bennett, Sr.

Gerald Austin "Spider" Bennett, Sr., a native and longtime resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024. 

He was a graduate of Baker High School. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his family, espically his grandsons. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Bennett, parents, Archie Sr. and Goldie Bennett, siblings, Michael Bennett, Ann Bennett, Archie "Bubba" Bennett, Jr., neice, Melissa Jones, life long best friend, Jack Lins. 

He is survived by his children, Gerald "Austin" Bennett, Jr., Brooke Bennett, mother of his children, Michelle Bennett, grand children, Cooper Hurst, Cohen Delafosse, siblings, Brenda (George) Raines, Willie Bennett, neices, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at New Beginning Church of the Gulf Coast, 4148 Oak Ridge Ave, Mobile, AL 36619 at 12 noon with visitation from 11 am until service time.
