Harry D. Swetman, a native of Biloxi, Mississippi, was born August 20, 1927. He passed away January 30, 2022, at home with his family at age 94.
Harry served as an audit specialist for the United States Army in the U.S and Austria. He graduated with honors at the University of Southern Mississippi with majors in accounting and business administration. He was awarded a graduate assistantship at Louisiana State University. Harry was a licensed CPA in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi and worked as a chief accountant for the state of Louisiana. He also established multiple successful retail furniture businesses in Baton Rouge, Mobile, and Bayou La Batre.
Harry is preceded in death by his mother and father, Agnes Miller and Sydney Swetman.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Lindy Swetman Ard, Carly Swetman, and Don Swetman; six grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 1:30pm Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.
