James Harold Davis, 77, passed away peacefully December 14, 2025. James was born on December 19, 1947 in Mobile, Alabama, to Eddie Davis and Mary Waters Davis. James is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Thomasson Davis and brother Eddie Davis. His loving nature will continue to live on through his three children, Susie (Willie) Davis Smeriglio, Mike (Laura) Davis, and Rick (Kim) Davis; three grandchildren, Tiffany (Nathan) Davis Dykes, Mackenzie Davis, and Parker Smeriglio; great-grandchild, Annalyse Dykes; and fiancée, Brenda Carpenter West.
James spent many years as a pipe welder/fitter and he retired from Walt Disney World where he had worked as a welder and air conditioning repairman for Reedy Creek Energy Services. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and rooting for Alabama football....ROLL TIDE! He loved spending time with family and friends, and will be missed deeply.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Tanner Williams Holiness Church, 14801 Tanner Williams Rd, Wilmer, AL. 36587, at 11:00 a.m. CST. Let's gather to share memories and celebrate a life well-lived.
In leiu of flowers, charitable donations can be made in his name & legacy to the Leukemia Foundation, St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, or the American Diabetes Association.
