James Walker Hilderbrand, a resident of Saraland, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022. He was 81 years old.

James enjoyed working in his shop and creating objects from wood. He was a member of the Port City Craftsman for 33 years. James was a retiree from the MCPSS Renovations Department. He was a member of the supper club and Forest Hill United Methodist Church.

James is preceded in death by his mother and father, Ruth and Oliver Hilderbrand; daughter, Jane Ann Hilderbrand; and his wife, Mary Ann Hilderbrand.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter and son-in-law, Jenamarie Large Vaughn and Russell Vaughn; grandchildren, Benjamin Large, Emily Large, Katherine Large, and DJ Large; brother, Bill Hilderbrand; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be at 12pm Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Mobile Funeral Home and Crematory.
