Jimmy Nelson Phillips

Sgt. Jimmy Nelson Phillips, a resident of Semmes Alabama, passed away on September 11, 2021. Jimmy was 71 years old. This quote describes Jimmy best: "The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him."- G.K. Chesterton. Jimmy was a proud, tough soldier with a Love for his family, friends and furrbabies. He proudly served our communities working for several years in the tire Industry best known at S&S Tires and Wheels in Saraland and Cooper Tires in Semmes. He was proud member of the VFW and the American Legion.

Jimmy was preceded by his mom, dad, brothers, and sister.

Those of us that were left behind were blessed to have had him in our lives. 

A celebration of his life/memorial to celebrate the service and love he gave to this world will be on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 1pm to 4pm at Oakmont Christian Church located at 424 Oakmont Street, Saraland, Alabama 36571 (corner of Oakmont & McKeough St.) Contact Kathryn Phillips Malone for any information regarding arrangements.
