John P. Mimms (Buddy)

John P. Mimms (Buddy), was born on November 21, 1958. He was 63 years old. John went home to be with the lord on January 27, 2022, in his home with his wife Carol Baker Mimms by his side.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Mimms and Gladys Mimms.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carol Baker Mimms; his 3 children, Cheri Fugate (Kevin), Ashley Duckworth (Bill), and Joshua Mimms (Charlotte); 9 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

John was a retired member of the local union of 119.  He was a very religious man and his relationship with God was everything to him. John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His most enjoyed time was being around his family and always making them smile. There was no room he couldn’t go into and not brighten up the day. John Mimms will be truly missed and loved by everyone he encountered during his life.
