Josef Alexander Kelgin, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on December 29th, 2023. He was 14 years old.He enjoyed watching Star Wars, riding fast cars and trains, music - he loved crooners and soft jazz-, napping, irritating his dad, and being read to.Those left to cherish his memory include:His parents, John L. and Nora "Louise" Kelgin JR.His siblings, Erika Kelgin, Jessica and Eric Shannon, Amanda Smith, Micheal Smith, and Brianna "Hope" and James Johnson, as well as, his many nieces and nephews. His Aunts and Uncles, Aphry and Paul Olafsen, Joseph " Andy" and Shannon Brown, Wendy and Hansel King, Jessie and Billy Trotter, and Samuel Brown, as well as, their children and grandchildren. His Aunt Lorraine Wise and Uncle Louis, as well as their children and grandchildren.His grandparents, Coline and James "Larry" Sheffield.We also would like to acknowledge his found family.While you may not be family by blood or paper, you made his life even more special. We also want to thank USA Women's and Children's Hospital and the many nurses and doctors that help make his life a little easier. He was preceded by his grandparents, John Linwood and Babette Kelgin SR., his brother John L. Kelgin the 3rd, and his Aunt Hanna Laurie.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 9:30am to 11:00am at Mobile Funeral Home and Crematory with Funeral Service to start at 11:00am from the chapel.
