Joseph "Joe" Michael Harrell, Sr., born June 14,1958, a longtime resident of Theodore - Irvington, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 1, 2024.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Walker, father, Ray Harrell, Sr., 2 brothers, Charles Lee Harrell, Ray Harrell, Jr., 3 sisters, Betty Ann Owens, Brenda Diane Tillman, and Wanda Kay Nolan.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Lorena Diane (Curtis) Ivey, sons, Joseph (Mandy) Harrell, Jr., Travis (Ashley) Harrell, Peggy Roberts, 18 grandchildren, Taylor, Seirra, Ellison "EJ", Zackary, Miriah, Kaleb, Brandon, Marissa, Dakota, Katelyn, Isabel, Bristol, Andrew, Landon, Jazmyn, Elizabeth one great granddaughter, Harper, brother, Bhron Cate, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Joe was a beloved father and grandfather and loved to have cook-outs with his family. He had a passion for old cars and motorcycles. Joe never met a stranger he could cut up with, and he had a way of making everyone laugh. Joe "Pops" will greatly be missed.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 12 noon with visitation from 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery.
