Judy Carter Sizemore

Judy Carter Sizemore, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, born August 11, 1943, passed away
peacefully on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at her residence. She was 79 years old. Judy was a devoted wife,
loving mother and a wonderful homemaker. She loved attending church services at Christ United
Methodist Church and was a member for the choir. She enjoyed watching sports, especially Alabama
football and Braves baseball and spending time outdoors with her beloved horse Sunday. Judy dedicated
much of her life to helping others, first with a career as a social worker and later after completing her
master’s degree, as a counselor for the homeless coalition.
Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband James Sizemore. As well as her parents,
Horace Perdue Carter and Sidney Louise Carter. Those left to cherish her memory include her son,
Richard Evan Sizemore (Stephanie) of Lebanon, Ohio and daughter Kathy Sizemore Leddick (Dale) of
Mobile, Alabama. As well as four grandchildren Eric, Dylan, Landyn and Nolyn along with numerous
other family and friends
A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Christ United Methodist
Church, 6101 Grelot road, Mobile, Al. Visitation will began at 10 am with the service starting at 11 am.
Grave side services will be Friday, August 25, 2023 at Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, Al.
