Linda Fay (Anderson) Matthews

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Fay Matthews, who departed this life on March 21, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born on January 4, 1957 in Odessa, Texas. Linda lived a loving and resilient life in her hometown of Wilmer, Alabama, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, David Matthews, with who she shared many cherished years of companionship and adventure. Together, they built a family filled with love and unwavering support for one another; also survived by her loving child, Edward Rodgers; her beloved grandchildren, Blakely and Brandon Rodgers; her great grandchildren; her siblings, Joyce Smith and Annice Havard, who along with their descendants, shared precious moments and built a legacy of love. 

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie and Lamar Anderson; her brother, Carlos Anderson; and her son, David Mitchell Hammic Matthews.

Linda Fay Matthews' spirit will continue to live on in the stories and memories shared by her loved ones.
