Lisa Joann (Johnston) Johnston

  Lisa Joann Johnston, age 62, passed away on September, 22, 2023, attended by loved ones.  She lived in Mobile, AL, as a beloved elementary teacher to the children in her city.  Joann loved spending time with family, friends and her cats.  She was also highly fond of Alabama football and fishing! Joann was preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Marion Johnston. Joann is survived by her siblings Bert Johnston, Katie Johnston, Rhett Johnston and Donnis Johnston; first cousins Mike (Debra) Shiver, Mitch (Diana) Shiver; second and third cousins Thor Shiver and Liam Shiver.  She also leaves behind many additional loved ones who contributed to her life in impactful ways beginning with her Evergreen Hill lifelong friends up to her recent years with her beloved companion Chuck Hagans and his precious sister, Barbara Wilson.

Joann will be remembered as the life of the party and a kind and generous sister and friend.  Her most powerful testimony is that she never gave up regardless of how dark or deep the battle seemed and maintained her best effort toward her final stretch in pursuit of the Kingdom of God.
