Louis “Uncle Louie” Hard was born in Medford, Oregon, on April 6, 1943. At 78 years old, he passed away at his home in Bayou La Batre, Alabama, on Saturday, April 2, 2022.
Uncle Louie was an admirer and collector of antique muscle cars and a Corporate Sponsor of Bryant Baseball for over 10 years. He was a member of the Coaches Club at Alba High School in Bayou La Batre, and then Bryant High School in Irvington. From 2008 to 2012, he was a Bayou La Batre City Council Member and Los Vatos Clifton High School Alumni in Clifton, Arizona. Uncle Louie was in the Air Force for 20 years. He also spent 20 years with the Bayou La Batre Police Department.
Uncle Louie is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Diaz.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cynthia Hard; children, Deann Lockhart and Jeremiah Hard of Albertville, AL; grandchildren, Joshua Lockhart and Victoria Lockhart of Albertville, AL; sisters, Rena Ingraham of Phoenix, AZ and Patricia Perez of El Paso, TX and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2pm until the 3pm-4pm memorial service Saturday, April 9, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Bayou La Batre.
