Lydia Lott Bryan

Lydia Rebecca Lott Bryan, age 82, of Wilmer, AL passed away on Saturday, June 27,2026.

Born on January 18, 1944, in Mobile, Alabama, Lydia was a lifelong resident of the area.  She will be remembered for her deep love of family, her kind heart, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.  She worked in the banking industry most of her career and retired from The University of South Alabama Medical Center business office.

Lydia we preceded in death by her parents, E.B. Lott and Sadie Dorsey Lott: and her sisters, Loretta Lott Lewis and Kathryn Lott Gaba.

She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Lynn Upshaw of Rydal, Georgia and Judith Bryan Hatton of Mobile, Alabama; her grandchildren, Forrest Michael Landry (Meagan Stuckey) of Mobile, Alabama and John Darren Bryan of Rydal, Georgia; her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Claire Landry, Genevieve Elise Landry and Oliver Michael Landry of Mobile, Alabama; her sister, Shirley Lott Kossow of Fairhope, Alabama; and her brothers, John Lamar Lott of Elma, Washington; Joseph Lott (Polly) of Waynesboro, Mississippi; Ernest Lott of Laurel, Mississippi; Perry Lott (Vera) of Wilmer, Alabama; Charles Lott (Ramona) of Eight Mile, Alabama; and Ray Lott (Deborah) of Wilmer, Alabama, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Lydia was well known for her delicious coconut cakes, her love of Walt Disney World and for always working outdoors in the yard.  She looked forward to her monthly Bunko gatherings with dear friends and cherished every opportunity to take her great-granddaughters for pizza.  These simple moments brought her tremendous joy and created lasting memories for those she loved.

A memorial service celebration Lydia’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25,2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Georgetown Baptist Church, 10651 Lott Road, Chunchula, Alabama 36521
