Margaret Elizabeth "Meg" Gilbert

Margaret Elizabeth Gilbert (Meg), a resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on June 20, 2024.

Meg was a graduate of Bishop Toolen High School (’68) and the University of South Alabama.  She and her partner, Nicholas Madaloni, owned and operated their own business, M.A. Publishing, for many years in downtown Mobile. 

After retirement, Meg enjoyed working in her yard, lunching with friends, and most of all her beloved cat family. 

Meg was predeceased by her life partner, Nicholas Madaloni and parents Herbert Wetherby Gilbert and Bertha Agnes Duggan Gilbert.  Survivors include sisters Marianne Parker of New Orleans, Louisiana and Jamie Landry of Mobile, a niece Robin Parker, nephews James Joseph Landry (Ashanka), Sean Michael Landry (Sarah), a grand-niece Lakshmi and other relatives.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on July 11, 2024 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne, Alabama, with a private burial to immediately follow.
