Martha Louise Boling, a resident of Kushla, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023. She was 74 years old. Martha was a nurse by trade and in spirit, gifted with providing compassionate care to those at the end of life and to their families. It was her passion, and she excelled at it for decades. She adored Elvis Presley, saw him perform live multiple times, and built a beloved collection of his records and memorabilia. Most of all, Martha loved her family. Beyond her own children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, she was called “Grandmaw” by the children of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The friends of her sons became as family to her, and many continued to visit her well into adulthood.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, James C. Graves, Sr. and Flora Louise Graves (Reid); and by her husband, Benjamin Wayne Boling.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Kevin (Jessica) LaPorte, Charles (Wendy) LaPorte, and Scott (Jennifer) Boling; grandchildren, Marissa (Nate) Wilson, Laighten Boling, Caylon Boling, Cameron Boling, Carrie Boling, and Graceland LaPorte; great-grandchildren, Judah Wilson, Caleb Wilson, and Jax Owens; siblings, Bobbie Ann Goodson, James Charles Graves, Jr., Bonnie (Rodney) Timothy, Kathy (Wayne) Erwin, Diane Myers, Debra (Ricky) Smith, and Petey Graves; and many devoted nieces, nephews, and cousins of multiple generations.
