Melvin Joseph Smith, a resident of Theodore, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the age of 73. 

Melvin enjoyed being with the love of his life, Myrtle and they were together for almost 50 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Anna May Smith, son, Melvin Smith, Jr., and sister Agnes Smith. 

Those left to cherish his memory include, his loving wife, Myrtle, daughter, Ginger (Buddy) Lovell, son, Justin (Latoya) Smith, grandchildren, Isabella (James) Stilphen, Klay (Faith) Lovell, Justin Smith, Payton Smith, Paisley Smith, Presley Smith, Persais Smith, Lazarus Girton, great grandchildren, Aria Rose Stilphen, Aurora Violet Stilphen, sister, Dolly Smith, brother, Oliver Smith, Tommy Smith, cousins, Phylis, Esther, Nancy, Patty Joe, Bettyann, Bubs, Mikey, Betsy, Eleen, Jimmy, many other cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held from God's Holy Temple on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11 am. Interment will be at a later date in Greensburg, PA.
