Michael "Mike" Farver

Michael "Mike" Farver  passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021, at his residence in Mobile, Alabama.

Mike was born on April 13, 1947. He served 30 years on the Mobile Fire Department retiring as a District Chief. He also served as the Mobile Fire Department Union President of Local 1349 for 4 years. He was an Army Vietnam Veteran.

He is survived by his brothers, Rick (Rose) Farver of Mobile, Al and Doug (Betty) Farver of Niceville, Florida; one sister, Sharon McGraw of Roseville, Ca.; and his stepdaughter, Kimberly Overstreet Boutwell . He leaves behind numerous family and friends.

Mike was a gentle giant with a heart the size of Texas. He was also a dog whisperer and an avid BAMA fan. Anyone who knew him, loved him. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He lived for his weekly poker nights with his Firefighter Brothers.

There will be a memorial gathering at the Firefighters Union Hall - 4805 Halls Mill Rd., Mobile, Al on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4- 8pm.
