Mrs. Mildred C. Fussell was 82 years old, known as “Millie” to her family and friends. She passed away surrounded by family. She was born in Birmingham; and graduated from Minor High School. Millie was married to Ben Fussell, then moved multiple times with her husband, along with the various adventures of their lives. She was a small business owner, raising and training dogs for 27 years. Millie was also very involved in her church, Baptist Chapel, doing the church bulletins, singing in the choir, and other functions.
She was preceded in death by her parents Neal & Lorene Crotzer, her husband Ben Fussell and her sister Levia Crotzer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister, Regina Jones and brother Neal Crotzer Jr. She also had three children; Andrea Fussell (Roland Fields), Ben Fussell Jr. and Donald Fussell; along with many nieces, nephews, even her beloved 4-legged “grandchild”.
She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially Margaret Spann who she thought of as a sister
Memorial “Celebration of Life” Service will be held on June 21st at Baptist Chapel, Grand Bay, Alabama, starting at 11:00am.
