Patricia Ann Johnson, born on December 17, 1965, in Mobile, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord in July 2025.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Merle George, grandfather, John George, her mother, Teresa Neal, her daughter Joanna Ryals, and her grandson Hayden Ryals.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: son, Jody Ryals Jr. and daughter Charlene Ryals; her cherished grandchildren: Jody Ryals, Trayon Ryals, Jaydon Ryals, Josiah Ryals, Geovanni Gaston, Michelle Nelson, Ariana Meza, and Moriah Ryals. Patricia also leaves behind her devoted sister, Janet Cofer, who stood faithfully by her side.
Patricia worked as a bookkeeper for most of her life and was known for her strong work ethic and quiet dedication. But more than her career, Patricia’s greatest passion was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who believed in raising her children and grandchildren with love, discipline, and most importantly, a deep understanding of who Jesus is.
One of her most treasured scriptures was Psalm 91, which she read faithfully every night.
Patricia lived her life under the shelter of the Most High, resting in the shadow of the Almighty. She trusted God as her refuge and fortress. He covered her with His wings, and His faithful promises were her armor and protection. Because she loved Him, the Lord rescued her, protected her, and was always near when she called. Now, He has given her eternal rest and shown her His salvation.
Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 3 pm with visitation from 1 pm until service time.
Her life was a testament to grace, faith, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
