Bob Barnes died Wednesday morning, August 17, 2022, at Providence hospital. He was born July 12, 1943, and a small town in Missouri. The son of John Sterling Barnes and Nelly Dell Harker Barnes. After Bob graduated high school, he served with the United States Navy in the Vietnam war.
For over 50 years Bob was a mechanic, operator, and engineer. Bob had an amazing work ethic as he did so till the age of 78.
Bob enjoyed spending his time learning about the Lord and being with his church family as they became the most important thing in his life. His blood also ran crimson through and through, "Roll Tide".
A service of remembrance will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Harvest Time Assembly of God, 5904 St Nicholas Drive W, Eight Mile, Alabama.
A special dinner will follow the service for friends and family.
Leaving behind his greatest companion and "best friend", his bulldog, "Blue Boy Barnes". He will greatly be missed by his friends and family.
