Robert Tristan Cotton Parker was known as Tristan to his friends and family. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on the Feast of the Epiphany: January 1st, 1993.
Tristan passed away in his sleep after a long battle with type 1 diabetes and all the terrible complications that go along with this disease.
As a child and an adult, Tristan loved everyone. He truly did not have an enemy in the world. As a young child, he would spend hours with his great grandmother, Sarah Majors. When he was older, he spent summers at diabetic camp and visiting his grandmother, Janet Parker, in Washington State. He loved the cold weather and enjoyed snowboarding when he visited.
As he grew older, diabetes limited what he could do. Nevertheless, he loved to talk to everybody about anything. He enjoyed good food and cooking which would go along with movies or a TV show. He also treasured music and liked classical, jazz, and 70’s / 80’s rock. He relished spending time with family and friends as a child and adult.
Tristan is preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Sarah Majors, and Katie Cotton; grandmothers, Beth Cotton and Patricia Cotton; grandfather, Kenneth Knapp; and his cousin, Rachel Parker.
Those left to cherish Tristan’s memory include his mother, Veronica Parker; father, Doug Parker; brother, Christian Parker; sister, Kristen Parker; grandfathers, Gene Cotton and Jim Parker; grandmother, Janet Parker; aunts, Jennifer Klein, Stephanie Parker, Daniela Knapp, Sonia Knapp, Heidi Knapp, and Kathy Parker; uncles, Jim Klein, Hr. Ingimar, and Fred Knapp; his uncle and Godfather, Patrick Parker; Godmother, Liz Garraway; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Little Flower Catholic Church on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 6:30pm.
