Royce Alan Parrish Obituary
Royce Alan Parrish, born on May 14, 1969, to Judy and Michael Parrish, passed away on May 26, 2025. He had just celebrated his 56th birthday.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Judy McNair Parrish and Michael Leroy Parrish. He leaves behind his loving wife of 22 years, Jane Parrish, to cherish his memory. He is also survived by his three children: Kala Erickson (Zac), Julie Sims (Jonathan), and Doug Sims; his three grandsons: Zayne and Kaizer Johnson and Cecil Lough; his brother, Michael Parrish; his niece, Olivia Parrish; and numerous other family members and friends.
Royce was a very hard worker. In his younger years — and even more recently on weekends — you could find him at Waffle House, cooking up amazing food and his signature Royce Crispy Hashbrowns.
He spent 18 years at Southern Earth Sciences before working for the Alabama Department of Transportation. Royce was a proud nerd who loved history, anime, video games, movies, and grass-fed butter. He enjoyed taking care of his family, cooking, and — unlike most men — grocery shopping with his wife, Jane.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Funeral home & Crematory on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 6 pm with visitation from 4 pm until service time.
