Shirley Ricks Patterson passed away on Wednesday morning, March 08, 2023. She was born in Decatur, Alabama on May 24, 1936. She was a wonderful wife and mother of six children.
Shirley enjoyed getting together with family and friends, reading books, going to the movies, going to the beach, traveling, and sightseeing. Her favorite sweets were Clint’s homemade carrot cake.
Shirley is preceded in death by her late husband, Howard L. Patterson; mother, Amy May Bobo Allison from Hartselle, AL; father, Charlie Ester Ricks from Decatur, AL; brother, Charles Edward Ricks, Sr. from Hartselle, AL; and sister, Louise Fretwell from Milton, FL.
Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Paul Ricks; sons, Kenneth Clinton Patterson, Fred Joseph Patterson, Michael Lewis Patterson, and Phillip Todd Patterson; daughters, Teresa Gail Patterson and Patricia Ann Patterson Kenny; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
