Susan Michelle Thomas, 52, left her earthly home and entered the gates of Heaven on August 6, 2024, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was an amazing mother, a Godly woman, and a devoted friend. Susan was born on March 4, 1972, in Fort Worth, Texas. She spent most of her life in Mobile, Alabama where she started her career, loved family and friends, and raised her son Taylor. Susan attended Springhill Hill College to complete her bachelor’s and master’s of Nursing degrees. This is a testament to her servant's heart and passion for helping others. She was an active member of Azalea City Church of Christ where she continued to show her love of others and God. More than anything, Susan devoted her life to her son Taylor. He was and will always be her pride and joy. She would light up when she talked about him and was very proud of his accomplishments. Susan not only enjoyed watching Taylor perform Martial Arts, but she joined him by performing and sharing his journey. Recently she watched him perform at the Worlds, where he won two gold medals by displaying his martial arts skills. This was one of her final proud mother moments. Susan is preceded in death by her mother Rainie and maternal grandparents Harve and June Taylor. She is survived by her son Taylor Thomas, cousins Pamela Howell, Steve Sheffield, Adrian (Robert) Dudley, Anna Howell, Stepfather Barnie McInvale, Step sibling Bo (Irma) McInvale, Devie (Michael) Howell, Alan McInvale, “her girls” Brittany (Jamie) Jordan, Monica (Crosby) Herring, Kacey McInvale, Emily (Terry) Hall, & “her babies” Landon, JC, Hayzlee, Tripp & Lillian and a host of close friends. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude and sincere thanks to Azalea City Church of Christ for the special care and love shown to Susan throughout this journey.
