William Kenneth Cottrell, Jr.

William Kenneth Cottrell, Jr., a resident of Eight Mile, Alabama, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021. He was 68 years old.

William enjoyed watching Alabama football and NASCAR racing. He loved restoring older vehicles. He enjoyed cooking for when friends and family were gathering. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his grandchildren.

William is preceded in death by his parents, Gladys L. Smith Cottrell and William Cottrell, Sr. and his brother, Bruce Cottrell.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Gayle Ray Cottrell; his children, Kacey Cottrell (Selena Martin) of Saraland, AL and Rebecca (Eric) Hopkins of Chattanooga, TN; his stepchildren, Scott Eldridge of Mobile, AL and Angie (Jonathan) McIlwain of Semmes, AL; his brothers, Tommy (Tammy) Cottrell of Summerdale, AL and Keith (Joanne) Cottrell of TX; his nine grandchildren; his two great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
