It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William Madison Schmahl, who peacefully left us on March 15, 2025, at the age of 31 in Mobile, Alabama. William was born on August 9, 1993 to Richard and Elizabeth Bledsoe in Hartford, Connecticut. He had a restless spirit and a great curiosity of the world around him. As a bright and compassionate soul, he made friends everywhere he went and those friendships carried him through both the highs and lows of life. More than anything else, William had a fierce love for his beautiful twins, Adelyn and Alex. He was extremely proud to be their father and they were the lights of his life. His memory will forever live on in the two of them. William is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Bledsoe Schmahl of Mobile, Alabama, his sister Addie Gaines, her husband Andrew, his nephew Tucker and niece Emmett, of Simsbury, Connecticut, his brother Frazer Love of Georgia, his children, Adelyn and Alex of Mobile, Alabama, his maternal grandfather, James Bledsoe of Mobile, Alabama, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Richard Alan Schmahl. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shatterproof (https://donate.shatterproof.org/page/77696/donate/1).
